Pink Gorjuss Birthday Girl

Apologies for the photo but find it so difficult in the winter days. Coloured the Gorjuss girl with my water pencils & cut her out with Nestabilities & added some bling to make it more girly for the 9 year old it's going to.

Used Martha Stewart edge punch on bottom edge. Sentiment printed direct to card.

Not Christmas! Wey Hey!!

Sorry! What a bad blogger I've been but I have a great excuse. lol. Was soooooo behind with my Christmas cards just had to get on with them. {*rolls eyes to ceiling*}

Have popped in to visit you all when have been logged on but that hasn't been that often.

Hooray! Have finished my Christmas cards and now doing my birthday cards to keep me up to date through to January cos I really need to pack up all my stash and clear my dining room table for Christmas dinner! Ha ha. Although my 79 year old Mum thinks if I run out of time she could eat her dinner from a lap tray! As if!!

I made 2 of the easel cards for my nieces' birthdays. Forgot was going to use Promarkers & stamped them on wrong card. Doh! My how they bleed. Used Martha Stewart edge punch and my new Nellie Snellen dies for the raised sentiment as well as the image. Miss Anya stamp is from the 'Rain Snow Shine' set from The Greeting Farm. Sentiment was printed direct to card. Flat backed gems from stash.

Seasonal Bleatings ....

Apologies for being absent from Blogland for so long but so much to do, so little time. You know what I mean. Have been having a peak at all your blogs when I could ... just didn't manage to update my own. Was in Edinburgh for a long weekend at my sister's. Went to see 'We Will Rock You' while there. Fantastic show!

When I saw this little lamb on Jak's Blog I just knew I wanted to give it a go. Don't you just love Shaun the Sheep. He's sooooo cute! Thanks Jak.

This is all punched shapes or Nestabilities Circles but didn't have a teardrop for his ears so I used the petal from a flower punch. Embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. Added some Stickles here & there which shows up blue in photos but isn't irl! My photography is rubbish as usual. Sorry. Since am so late with making Christmas cards this year could be loads of little 'Season's Bleatings' running around!

Thanks for looking.

My first colouring with Promarkers....

Please be kind ......this is my first attempt at colouring with Promarkers. I've only got a few till I see how I get on with them so colours a wee bit limited.

Got the digital image from this blog Sandra Dry. Used my nesties for the sentiment and the embellishments on the front. The red backing paper is actually from a gents store carrier bag. Was HUGE so have had plenty recycling use from it. Was also desperate to try an easel style card.

Any constructive comments regarding my colouring would be appreciated. Thanks.

Golden Wedding Anniversary this time ....

Hope you don't get bored with the same but different if you see what I mean. Was a special request and just couldn't say no, although don't tend to make many cards for other peeps, 'specially this time of year when still haven't even started my Christmas cards!  This is so easy to make. Hope you like it.

Why does the gold card look black in some pics? I promise you it's the same card. lol

My First Blog Candy

Candy Now Closed
Won by Lesley Wyness! Congratulations!
Unclaimed therefore redrawn 7th Dec 2009
The winner is Maureen from Maureen's Place.
I was trying to wait till there was better light to take a pic of this small giveaway but the elements are against me. Again!

It started out as a couple of things I had purchased duplicates of (let's put those down to forty+ forgetfulness. lol) And then I decided that looked a bit miserly so thought would add a couple of stamps I have & never used. Then found punches I never use either so added them in to mix. Then thought could count in some charms, rolls of ribbon & fine glitters. So it's grown a bit ...... but when took photo missed some off cos forgot what had got to put in (eh? wot? again? twice in one day? Actually twice in one hour isn't that unusual !*! ) So here's a list of what is included:
  • Sizzix Embossing Folders - Christmas
  • Magnolia Tilda with Heart Present Stamp
  • Sarah Kay Spring Blossoms Stamp
  • 6 bags fine glitter (gold, copper, purple, lilac, pink, pale pink)
  • 4 wooden mounted stamps (not shown) Christmas Tree, Santa, 3 Christmas Trees, Snowman
  • 8 small punches (not shown)-star, cat, teddy, snowflake, sunburst, heart, tree, butterfly
  • 3 x 5m rolls ribbon (pink, gold & turquoise with gold trim)
  • 6 different lots of 10 charms incl. daisies, flowerpot, flower
  • And anything else I find before this
ENDS 22:00 HRS (GMT) FRIDAY 27th NOVEMBER 2009

To enter just leave your comment on this post and, if you would like to, put a link in your sidebar. I'd appreciate that. I'll attempt to use Random Integer to select a winner but never used it before so watch this space!! Will find a winning number somehow. Good luck!

Quick Card

Well haven't the last few days been ideal for having an indoor pastime!! lol Bloomin' weather. Perfect excuse for crafting, crafting & more crafting! (Or blog hopping!) Like I need one. Could do with some sunshine for my mojo though.

I used one of the stamps from the SU set 'Pocket Silhouettes' for this quick card. Punched flowers from one of the backing papers I used & fixed with brads. Martha Stewart edge punched borders. Backing papers were a free download from yonks ago so sorry don't know where from. Hope you like it.

Gorjuss Girl

Have managed another of the birthday cards must do before Christmas cards and clearing my craft (dining! hrmph) room for the festive period. All my stash gets put away so feel as if my hands are tied behind my back for about 3 weeks, or as long as the guests stay.

This little lady has been coloured with pearlised paints, from 'The Works' I think. She's called 'Sitting' and is a  'Gorjuss Girl' available from funkykits/sugarnellie .Punched flowers and added little beads in centre. Nesties to cut matts.

Is less more ......?

Seem to have been running around like a headless chicken today but finally managed to get here! lol. Where does time go, she asks as we go trundling head first towards Christmas at an amazing rate of knots and not one Christmas card produced yet!! Anyway, I digress  ......

I found this stamp at the back of a shelf .....completely forgot I had it. It's from Katie & Co and called 'Stack of Presents'. Coloured it with my watercolour pencils. The flowers are from 2 Tapestry Stamps sets, 'Floral Frame' (SFL 34036) & 'Floral Vine Border' (SFL 34004). Martha Stewart 'New Scallop' edge punch. Pearls & ribbon from stash.

I also stamped the blue background with the flowers using 'Versamark' but you can barely see it in the pic! lol

Edited to add note to self - clean mark from camera lens!!!!

Thanks for looking.

Nestabilities for layers, EK Success corner punch for 'ticket' corners and gems are 'Robins Nest'. Ribbon from stash

This is another of my fav cards to make. lol. Have used it on several occasions as well. One of those things where will keep repeating till get soooooo fed up of it. Comfort zone or what?!*!?

The instructions for the original of this can be found here. Thanks Valita. And thanks to all others in blog land who are prepared to share their work with those of us who need vast amounts of inspiration!

Scowl Owl! lol

This was supposed to look cute! And it does IRL. Honest! It's just that with my photography & the head being smaller than it's meant to & the fold kept 'popping up' when I was trying to take photo .... no matter how many times I tried, it's now a 'Scowl Owl'!! lol

Followed a picture in this post on imag-e-nation forum but didn't have the same dies so just used what I had. Thanks ladies for showing us what you did.

Tools: Nestabilities Circles & Labels 4, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder 'Diamonds in the Rough'
Embellishments: Papermania Gem Brads, Paper bow from stash

Digi Image with Attitude!

Should have said from the start I'm no photographer & am using my little digital camera as best I can but please excuse the quality of the pictures. Any advice would be appreciated.

This image made me smile when I saw it on pcrafter.com and I just knew what I wanted to do with this Missy Duck with so much attitude! Printed her several times & decoupaged her. Sentiment is printed direct to cardstock & cut out with Nestabilities Circles, as was the image. Used EK Success corner punch on sentiment banner. Ribbon & flat backed gems from stash.
